Adamawa Closes Schools Till Further Notice

The Adamawa state government has ordered that all public and private schools in the state to close with immediate effect.

Aisha Aisha Abubakar, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development made this disclosure in a statement.

Although no reason was given, it may not be unconnected to the kidnap of schoolboys from the Government Science Secondary School (GSSS) Kankara in Katsina State.

“The ministry of education and human capital development wishes to direct and announce the immediate closure of private and public schools in the state today being 17th December, 2020,” the statement read in part.

“Resumption date will be announced on a later date. All school administrators/authorities are to strictly comply with the directives.”
