The Nigerian Navy has announced that it is re-equipping it’s operational base in Baga, two years after it was run over by terrorists.
The base was dislodged in 2018 after a fierce gun battle with Boko Haram.
Rear Admiral Ibikunle Taiwo, the Navy’s Chief of Training and Operation, repressing the Chief of Naval Staff made this known in a new year event in Maiduguri.
He said faults that led to the base being overrun have been studied and fixes will be made to ensure none of it happens again.
