The indigenous students of Ibeju Lekki under the Umbrella, National Association of Ibeju Lekki students (NAILS) have requested for Reforming Education.
In a release signed by the President, Oladimeji Ibrahim disclosed that development of a society can only be sustained when education is given much priority.
He said further that all candidates should have be prepared for a debate that will make the association to have full details of them on Education
According to the release, “It is glaring that ibeju lekki will soon be the centre of economy repositioning in lagos state due to its massive growth in industrialization and infrastructure. Meanwhile, a development can only be sustained when education is taken as a priority towards the development of it’s masses. Not forgetting that Education remains the passport to the future.
“It’s visible to the deaf and audible to the blame that in few months, local government will be producing another leadership to continuously uplift the standard of living of it’s people.
“Genuinely, our present reality towards our development should make us understand that the kind of education we need now should be focused on better improvement of all the domains of learning (Cognitive, Affective and Psychomotor) because hundred of thousands of our indigene should also have one or two things to contribute as well as support the industrialization structure in the environment.
“As an indigenous organization of Ibeju Lekki Students NAILS, our motives is to seek that every individuals that will take Education to next level and cater for the welfarism of students emerged Into any offices.
“Truly, Obafemi Awolowo said Any system of education which does not help a man to have a healthy, sound body, alert brain, balanced and disciplined instinctive urges, is both misconceived and dangerous.
“If we have proper education structure from Primary, secondary to Higher tertiary in Our dear Local Government, We will be the leading local government in Lagos because we are blessed with Intellectual mindsets.
“On this note, We will be inviting all aspirants from Ward to Local Government chairman candidates for a Debate where they will give exclusive details of their plans for Education.
“Conclusively, it’s interesting to note that, we have draw a template of Education Sustainability with partner of professionals, UN organization and NGOs that will help change the narratives of our education system positively by collaborating with the local Government. We have a vision to achieve greatness in our community and it through effective and efficient teaching and learning process across all boards” he said
