Kano state Road Transport Agency (KAROTA) have said that they have intercepted a Gulf car with Indian hemp worth N30m.
Nabullisi Abdullahi, the spokeswoman said this in a statement on Thursday.
“The operation took place around 3:30a.m. on Jan.20, which led to the arrest of the driver on Gwarzo-Kano road while other suspects believed to be the owners of the consignment managed to escape,” He said.
The drugs were neatly concealed in 172 parcels.
He added that KAROTA has handed over the parcels to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in the state for further investigations.
