Police in Nigeria launches “Rescue Me” App to fight insecurity

The Nigeria Police Force has announced a new “Rescue Me” App to help the fight against insecurity.

Usman Gonna, Jigawa state commissioner of police said the App was designed to tackle insecurity through technology.

All distressed persons have to do is to press the “help” button and a list of incident icons, like Killing Spree, Assault, Rape, Kidnapping, amongst others.

He said the App uses internet services and is GPS-based.

It can be downloaded from Google Play Store or Nigeria Police National Command and Control Safety Centre website www.npf4ci.com.
