There will soon be mass defection to PDP, says Party Secretary

Senator Ibrahim Tsauri, National Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has said the party is the solution to the country’s problem.

He said there will soon be mass defection to the party.

He described the All Progressive Congress (APC) as a club that has nothing to offer, noting that the party will put their house in order before the elections.

In a chat with Vanguard, Tsauri said the duo of former speaker of the house of representatives, Yakubu Dogara and Dave Umahi, governor of Ebonyi state who left the party will soon come back home.

โ€œI have the highest optimism that Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara and His Excellency Dave Umahi are coming back to base before 2023. APC is not their platform. They cannot survive in a political club. They are politicians, not registered club members,” he said.

On the issue of zoning, he 2023 was still far away. He said some mischief makers were bent on polarizing the party.

“It is true that zoning is enshrined in the partyโ€™s constitution. But Nigerians should be fair to PDP at this point in time. We won the election and were denied, and we are beginning to recover from the shock and mischief-makers are coming with another issue with the intent of polarizing the party. That will never work!

โ€œNobody is talking about zoning for now. 2023 is far away. Just watch an established political party with politicians of repute with Nigeria at heart get the business done at the right time.

Why the rush?,” He asked sarcastically.
