Makoko community has again, made available an opportunity for youths through their annual Makoko Community Day, to scale up their participation from various communities in Lagos mainland in Sports, skills acquisitions, beauty pageant and many more.
Makoko community in conjunction with Gbayi Ọmọ Àdúgbò Care Foundation organized this capacity building event, basically to reduce the rate of Youth Unemployment, poverty and restiveness amongst others.
Prince Segun Gbayi; a sport lover, business consultant and an experienced administrator emphasized the importance grassroot sports as a means of Youth Empowerment.
An Aspirant for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the upcoming 2023 general elections for the Lagos House of Representatives seat, has pledged to inculcate sports at the grassroot level as one of his programmes in the development of Lagos Mainland.
“We are not stopping here. We will ensure there is expansion, development in our sporting activities to raise these young stars to limelight”, Prince Segun Gbayi said.
