The Branded Woman Awards 2021: Branding Expert, Omobabinrin Adeola Osideko narrates how young women are beginning to shoot into the limelight

The year 2021 edition of The Branded Woman Awards courtesy My Branding Academy own by the popular International Speaker and Influencer, Omobabinrin Adeola Osideko, has been concluded recently.
The Branded Woman Awards which started in year 2020 is aimed at celebrating all women regardless of their marital status, age or social status it means if you are doing well as a woman then you deserve to be appreciated and celebrated.

In an interview with the Brand’s Executive Director, Adeola Osideko, she talked about the nomination procedures, improvement on this year’s edition and her expectations for next edition(s).

• What does The Branded Woman Awards signify?
This Award signifies the celebration of the strength of a woman, the celebration of the impact of women in the society. Women are underrated and just like every who works so hard wants to be celebrated women deserve more. This award is organized by My branding Academy under the leadership of Omobabinrin Adeola Osideko that is the Executive Director of the Academy.

• The women nominated: what were the criteria for nomination?

We allow people to nominate the women who are doing tremendously well in their various fields. Our audience know them than we do so it will be unfair to force anyone on them and that is why we gave them the opportunity to nominate them based on the positive impact they have seen them make in the society.

The Award is divided into 12 categories and there were women who are overall winner from each category

What improvement/success do you see in this year’s edition than that of last year?
Last year, majority of people who won the award are known faces who are undoubtedly doing well but this year we noticed that new faces emerged, and it was a good platform for their works to be equally recognized. Often, we discovered that so many people who are doing well are not see or heard because they have been overshadowed by the popular ones. We are also glad that up and coming influencers and young professionals are also beginning to shoot into the limelight through this event, their works are now been noticed and appreciated.

Any expectation for next year?
Our expectations for next year is that we have more women coming out from their hidings to challenge the stereotypes and biases just like this year’s International Women’s Day theme “Choose to challenge”. We are expecting more results from the women, results that can change the world and inspire other young women to do better and do better.

We also expect that we have more companies and organizations to sponsor this event so that women can be motivated to do better. Women have lots of role to play in Nation building ranging from family, to leadership, to entrepreneurship, to industrialization are we would love to encourage them with physical/monetary gifts if possible.
