NAMACOS AAUA fixes date for Annual Press Week

National Association of Mass Communication Students, Adekunle Ajashin University, Akungba-Akoko (NAMACOS AAUA) Chapter, as part of preparing for her Annual Press week has proposed date for the event to come up.

According to the President of the Association, Adesola Ikulajolu, the proposed date for the Press week is 31st of May to 6th of June, 2021. He made this known during the Congress/meeting of the Association held on 21st April, 2021.

In making the event a glamorous one, the President assured of his administration’s effort for it and ask for support of the Association.

“Every member of this Association is to pay a token of #1,000 which will serve as Dinner fee for the Press week. Also, Ankara and vest will be available for the NAMACOSITES to Grace the occasion”, the President said.

In ensuring no student is left out in the participation, Adesola said, “Every member of the Association will participate in the event.”

Hence, students have been divided into five groups, in order to make the participation a success and stress-free for all.

The groups are named: Team Gold; Team Silver; Team Diamond; Team Ruby; and Team Sapphire.

As a result of that Lecturers in the Department will be the Team Coordinator for each Team while a student from each team will act as Team Lead.

The Press week which is done annually comprises of various activities such as: Competition, Launching of Namacos Magazines; Cutting of cake; Award presentation; Dinner night; Shola Ilesanmi Competition; Old school day; Cultural day; Mr/Mrs NAMACOS; Talent Hunt; inauguration of Patron/Patroness; and Movie night.

Emmanuel Boluwaji (Emmy Coozy) heads the committee set up for the Press week. Other members of the committee include: Ogunwale Iremide; Lawal Salome; Rukayat Toyosi Abdulfatai; Maka Karinatu Irene.
