ICYMI: Chelsea defeats Man City to win UCL.

The UEFA champions league came to an end this past weekend in Porto, Portugal with Chelsea lifting the trophy after a one nil win over premier league rivals Manchester City courtesy a goal by German international Kai Havert.
The final which featured an all English final for the second time in the competitions history was was one that got fans expecting fire works due to the Calibre of the coaches and teams involved.
City had lost there previous 2 matches to Chelsea and had revenge on there mind aside from the fact that they were hoping to win there first UCL trophy.
For the coaches, Chelsea coach Thomas tuchel was the losing finalist last season while pep guardiola was seeking to win his first UCL trophy in 10yrs since he won it in with Barcelona in 2011.
The match was fair and square with both teams playing to the best of there abilities with Chelsea defending and hitting City on the counter attack while city did the pressing and had majority of the ball possession. The only goal of the match came from one of the Chelsea counter attack.
Another highlight of the match was that both teams lost one of there key players to injuries. In the first half Chelsea defender Thiago Silva had was withdrawn due to injury while City lost there captain Kelvin debruyne to injury after a collision with Antonio Rudiger. Aside that, there wasn’t much talking points from the match though both teams had few chances but nothing serious came out of it.
At the end of the final whistle, it was all joy for Thomas tuchel and his boys as they are crowned the new UEFA champions league champions for the 2020/2021 season.
